Adding a Shopify ‘Buy Button’

Add a Shopify “Buy Button” link to your Mailouts that will send customers directly to your checkout with your products, instead of directing them to your product page.

With Rare, you can embed a product into your Mailout accompanied by as much or as little information as you like, and then insert a button directing customers to the product page. But … by making a simple change to the button information, your customers can be directed STRAIGHT to checkout!

Here’s how:

Step 1: Head over to your Shopify account and click on “Buy Button” (underneath Sales Channels on the left hand side):

Scroll to the bottom of the page until you see the box to “Embed a product in an email”.

Step 2: Click “Select product” and then, from the popup window, choose the product you’d like to advertise in your email Template.

If your product has multiple variants, select the one you want customers to buy now. Remember… this will direct customers right to your checkout, so pre-selecting a variant for them is important.

Step 3: Once you’ve selected a variant, look to the right side of the page and click “Copy Link”.

Step 4: Log in to Rare and click on the Templates tab to edit an existing Template or create a new Template. Click here to learn how to create a Template.

Inside your Template, drag and drop the Store Products box to the drop zone and select the product you wish to advertise by clicking on the image and selecting from the drop-down menu.

Step 5: While in the Store Products option panel, scroll down to the bottom until you see the options for “Store Product URL” and “Button Text”:

Paste the link you copied from Step 3 into the Store Product URL box. This will be the checkout link for your product.

Step 6: Add text for your button, something like “Buy now”, “Shop here”, or “Go to Checkout”.And you’re done! Congratulations on adding a Shopify Buy Now button to your Template!
